There were 512 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in April 2017 or down from 600 in March 2017.
The long term unemployed:
There were 838 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in April 2017 or down from 882 in March 2017.
Open vacancies:
There were 204 new incoming open vacancies in April 2017, but in March 2017 there were 279 new incoming open vacancies.
Foreign workers:
There were in total 137 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in April 2017 but 151 in March 2017. There were 38 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in April.
These foreign service companies employed 351 workers.
There were 26 Temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in April.
These Temporary-work agencies hired out 1.199 workers in April 2017.
The unemployment forecast for May 2017:
It is expected that the unemployment in May 2017 will fall and be between 1,7% and 1,9%.
