The labour market in November 2018

Registered unemployment was 2,5% in November 2018 or up from 2,4% in October 2018 and up from 2,1% in November 2017. There were in average 4.611 unemployed in November 2018 or up with 376 from October 2018.

Unemployment by gender:

The unemployment by men was 2,5% in November 2018, or up from 2,3% in October 2018.  The unemployment by women was 2,6% in November 2018 or up from 2,4% in October 2018.

The unemployment by young people:

There were 612 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in November 2018 or up from 546 in October 2018.

The long term unemployed:

There were 961 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in November 2018, or up from 943 in October 2018.

Open vacancies:

There were 107 new incoming open vacancies in November 2018 or down from 133 new incoming open vacancies in October 2018.

Foreign workers:

There were in total 213 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in November 2018 but 205 in October 2018. There were 28 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in November 2018. These foreign service companies employed 166 workers in November 2018.

There were 25 Temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in November 2018.

These Temporary-work agencies hired out 1.383 workers in November 2018.

The unemployment forecast for December 2018:

It is expected that the unemployment in December 2018 will increase and be between 2,4% and 2,7%.
