U1 and U2 certificates

If you intend to be job-seeking in Iceland you will then be able to obtain certification that you have had unemployment insurance in another EEA-state through a U1 certificate and that way you have increased your entitlement to receive unemployment benefits in Iceland. The requirement is that you have been a wage earner and that payroll taxes have been paid on your wages.
