Senior Tools Programmer

CCP is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Platform Tools Team in our Reykjavík office!

In this role you will be working with our Platform Tools Team to develop and maintain a wide variety of internal tools & services to support the EVE universe.

Your tasks:
Develop tools and pipelines that will improve the productivity and autonomy of our development teams, by collecting feedback, understanding pain points and championing for improvement
Design, implement, debug, optimize and iterate on new and existing systems or tools, in direct collaboration with end users such as designers, artists, QA and engineers
Prioritize and breakdown engineering tasks for a project, to meet deadlines while documenting and following best practices
Support your team and varying discipline members to create the highest quality experience possible for end users
Mentor other programmers to help them grow and ensure the best solutions are used to serve the project
Foster a collaborative environment with other engineers and members of the team to deliver the best possible product to our players

Your profile:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Software Development position, ideally in a game development environment
Excellent programming and debugging skills in Python, C++ & JavaScript and similar languages
Experience with systems design, content authoring, 3D programming, rendering and art asset pipelines
Knowledge of agile development methodologies, test driven development & test automation
Experienced in game engine editors and art pipelines such as Unreal, Unity and art asset processing
An ability work through decades old legacy code, and improve it
An advocate for User Experience best practices, with a proven track record of implementation
A great communicator, who is able to communicate requirements and estimate scope of work with the ability to speak to all members of the team in a dynamic and diverse culture
