Technical Producer

CCP Iceland is looking for a driven Producer with a passion for improving the technical foundations to enable teams to reach their vision.

Reporting directly to the Development Director of Platform you will provide updates on progress, risks, completions on technical projects as well on technical performance. In addition to your production responsibilities, you will performance manage your team of engineers, collaborating closely with discipline directors to form career progression plans and ensuring you have a healthy team culture that fosters a growth mindset.

You will be producing a team of highly capable engineers to make foundational improvements to our build system, middleware integration, game client packaging and delivery all while championing efforts to modernize our tech stack. You will liaise with other teams to determine needs and requirements that will feed into your teams’ roadmap, empowering developers across the studio.

Your Profile:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Production position.
Able to communicate an ambitious vision, recruit people to that vision and empower your team to achieve organizational goals.
Able to communicate effectively to obtain requirements from non-technical people.
Effective in utilizing your team of experts to scope and estimate work and provide a high level overview to stakeholders.
Able to influence effectively where there is no direct authority.
Technical knowledge of game development and build pipelines.

Your tasks:
Communicate & report plans, progress, risks and results on technical projects to stakeholders and across the organization.
Drive the creation of long-term strategic development plans for your team.
Maintain ownership and accountability across your teams.
Working with Stakeholders to prioritize work.
Breakdown tasks among the project and engineers on the team to meet deadlines while documenting and following best practices.
Foster a collaborative environment with other engineers and members of the team in order to deliver the best features possible to our players.
You'll be supporting multiple agile teams with different specialties. While you won't be programming with them, you'll need to speak their language at a high level and always be on the look-out for cross team opportunities.
