Bereavement leave payment amounts for 2023
Monthly payments to parents taking full bereavement leave are 80% of average gross wages and/or calculated remuneration for a certain period, though never higher than:
- 600.000 kr. (due to loss of a child, stillbirth or miscarriage on January 1st 2023 or later).
Monthly payments to parents on bereavement leave in a 25% - 49% employment ratio is never lower than:
- 152.025 kr. (due to loss of a child, stillbirth or miscarriage on January 1st 2023 or later).
Monthly payments to parents on bereavement leave in a 50% - 100% employment ratio is never lower than: • 210.695 kr. (due to loss of a child, stillbirth or miscarriage on January 1st or later). Payments of bereavement grants in 2023:
Monthly bereavement grant to parents not participating in the labour market or working in an employment ratio less than 25%: • 91.937 kr. (due to loss of a child, stillbirth or miscarriage on January 1st or later).
Monthly bereavement grant to parents studying full-time (75% – 100% of full study): • 210.695 kr. (due to loss of a child, stillbirth or miscarriage on January 1st or later).
