Monthly payments from The Maternity/Paternity Leave Fund to a parent taking full maternity/paternity leave
are 80% of average gross wages and/or
the calculated remuneration for a certain period, though
never higher than:

• 600.000 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care).

A monthly payment to a parent on maternity/paternity leave
in a 25 - 49% employment ratio is never lower
than:

• 132.850 kr. (for children 1. January - 31. December 2020).
• 137.632 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster on 1. January 2021 or later).
• 143.963 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2022 or later).

A monthly payment to a parent on maternity/paternity leave
a parent in a 50 - 100% employment ratio is never lower
than:

• 184.119 kr. (for children 1. January - 31. December 2020).
• 190.747 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2021 or later).
• 199.522 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2022 or later).

Payments of maternity/paternity grants in 2022

A monthly maternity/paternity grant to a parent
not participating in the labour market or working in an employment ratio less than
25%:

• 80.341 kr. (for children 1. January - 31. December 2020)
• 83.233 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster on 1. January 2021 or later).
• 87.062 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2022 or later).

A monthly maternity/paternity grant to a parent
studying full time (75 - 100%):

• 184.119 kr. (for children 1. January - 31. December 2020)
• 190.747 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2021 or later).
• 199.522 kr. (for children who are born, adopted or taken into permanent foster care on 1. January 2022 or later).
