The labour market in November 2017

Registered unemployment was 2,1% in November 2017 or up with 0,2 percent point from October 2017 and the same as in November 2016.

There were in average 3.726 unemployed in November 2017 or up with 260 from October 2017.

Unemployment by gender:

The unemployment by men was 1,9% in November 2017, or up with 0,2 percent point from October 2017.  The unemployment by women was 2,3% in November 2017 or up with 0,1 percent point from October 2017.

The unemployment by young people:

There were 478 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in November 2017 or up from 407 in October 2017.

The long term unemployed:

There were 838 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in November 2017, or up with 2 from October 2017.

Open vacancies:

There were 100 new incoming open vacancies in November 2017, but in October 2017 there were 150 new incoming open vacancies.

Foreign workers:

There were in total 125 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in November 2017 but 164 in October 2017. There were 55 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in November 2017.

These foreign service companies employed 481 workers in November 2017.

There were 30 Temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in November 2017.

These Temporary-work agencies hired out 1.899 workers in November 2017.

The unemployment forecast for December 2017:

It is expected that the unemployment in December 2017 will increase due to seasonal reasons and be between 2,1% and 2,3%.
