Unemployment by gender:
The unemployment by men was 2,5% in December 2015, up from 2,3% in November 2015 but down from 3,1% in December 2014. The unemployment by women was 3,2% in December 2015 or the same as in November 2015 but down from 3,8% in December 2014.
The unemployment by young people:
There were 696 young 18-24 years unemployed in December 2015 or down from 709 in November 2015 but down from 919 in December 2014.
The long term unemployed:
There were 1.083 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in December 2015 up from 1.051 in November 2015.
Open vacancies:
There were 186 open vacancies in December 2015 or down with 66 from November 2015 but up with 1 from December 2014.
Work permits:
There were 31 new open work permits issued in December 2015 or up with 11 new work permits from November 2015.
The unemployment forecast for January 2016:
It is expected that the unemployment rate will increase in December 2016 due to seasonal fluctuation and be between 2,9% and 3,1% in January 2016.
