Unemployment by gender:
The unemployment by men was 2,6 % in January 2016, up from 2,5% in December 2015 but down from 3,2% in January 2015. The unemployment by women was 3,3% in January 2016 or up from 3,2% in December 2015 but down from 4% in January 2015.
The unemployment by young people:
There were 831 young 18-24 years unemployed in January 2016 or up from 696 in December 2015 but down from 1.104 in January 2015.
The long term unemployed:
There were 1.091 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in January 2016 up from 1.083 in December 2015.
Open vacancies:
There were 270 open vacancies in January 2016 or up with 84 from December 2015 and up with 47 from January 2015.
Work permits:
There were 38 new open work permits issued in January 2016 or up with 7 new work permits from December 2015.
The unemployment forecast for February 2016:
It is expected that the unemployment rate will not change considerably in February 2016 and be between 2, 9% and 3,1% in February 2016.
