The unemployment by men was 1,5% in August 2016, the same as in July 2016. The unemployment by women was 2,5% in August 2016 or unchanged from July 2016.
The unemployment by young people:
There were 443 young 18-24 years unemployed in August 2016 or down from 471 in July 2016 but down from 640 in August 2015.
The long term unemployed:
There were 973 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in August 2016 or down from 1.010 in July 2016.
Open vacancies:
There were 481 open vacancies in August 2016 or up with 140 from July 2016 and up with 175 from August 2015.
Work permits:
There were 47 new open work permits issued in August 2016 or up with 16 new work permits from July 2016.
The unemployment forecast for September 2016:
It is expected that the unemployment rate will not change considerably in September 2016 and be between 1,8% and 2,1%.
