Unemployment by gender:
The unemployment by men was 1,6% in October 2016, or up from 1,5% in September 2016. The unemployment by women was 2,4% in October 2016 or up from 2,3% in September 2016.
The unemployment by young people:
There were 430 young 18-24 years unemployed in October 2016 or up from 417 in September 2016 but down from 633 in October 2015.
The long term unemployed:
There were 912 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in October 2016 or down from 922 in September 2016.
Open vacancies:
There were 357 open vacancies in October 2016 or down from 505 in September 2016 and up with 79 from October 2015.
Work permits:
There were 52 new open work permits issued in October 2016 or down with 60 new work permits from September 2016.
The unemployment forecast for November 2016:
It is expected that the unemployment rate will increase in November 2016 and be between 2% and 2,2%.
