Unemployment by gender:
The unemployment by men was 3,0% in February 2019, or up from 2,9% in January 2019. The unemployment by women was 3,2% in February 2019 or up from 3,1% in January 2019.
The unemployment by young people:
There were 812 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in February 2019 or up from 761 in January 2019.
The long term unemployed:
There were 1.137 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in February 2019, or up from 1.081 in January 2019.
Open vacancies:
There were 149 new incoming open vacancies in February 2019 or up from 92 new incoming open vacancies in January 2019.
Foreign workers:
There were in total 185 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in February 2019 or the same number as in January 2019. There were 13 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in February 2019. These foreign service companies employed 79 workers in February 2019. There were 26 Temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in February 2019. These Temporary-work agencies hired out 1.086 workers in February 2019.
The unemployment forecast for March 2019:
It is expected that the unemployment in March 2019 will increase a bit and be between 2,9% and 3,2%.
