The labour market in March 2022

The unemployment rate in March reduced to 4,9% from 5,2% in February.

There were in average 9.119 unemployed in March 2022.

Unemployment by gender:

The unemployment rate in March was 5,0% for men or down from 5,3% in February and 4,7% for women or down from 5,0% in February.  

The unemployment by young people:

There were 999 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in March 2022 or down with 58 from February.

The long term unemployed:

There were 3.260 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in March 2022 or down with 179 from February.

Open vacancies:

There were 678 new incoming open vacancies in March 2022 or up from 424 new incoming open vacancies in February.

Foreign workers:

There were 178 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in March 2022 down from 183 issued work permits in February.  There were 36 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in March 2022.  These foreign service companies employed 187 workers in March 2022.

There were 17 temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in March 2022.

These temporary-work agencies hired out 398 workers in March 2022.

The unemployment forecast for April 2022:

It is expected that the unemployment in April 2022 will decrease and be between 4,4% and 4,6%.
