The labour market in July 2022

Summary

The unemployment rate in July reduced to 3,2% from 3,3% in June.

There were in average 6.279 unemployed in July 2022.

Unemployment by gender:

The unemployment rate in July was 3,1% for men or down from 3,3% in June and 3,3% for women or down from 3,4% in June.  

The unemployment by young people:

There were 479 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in July 2022 or down with 49 from June.

The long term unemployed:

There were 2.387 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in July 2022 or down with 8 from June.

Foreign workers:

There were 222 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in July 2022 down from 339 issued work permits in June.  There were 33 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in July 2022.  These foreign service companies employed 259 workers in July 2022.

There were 19 temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in July 2022.

These temporary-work agencies hired out 602 workers in July 2022.

The unemployment forecast for August 2022:

It is expected that the unemployment in August 2022 will not change considerable from July and be between 3,0% and 3,4%.
