There were 647 young, aged 18-24 years unemployed in April 2023 or down with 45 from March.
Long-term unemployment
There were 1.552 long-term unemployed (over 12 months unemployed) in the end of April 2023 but in the end of April 2022 there were 3.087 long-term unemployed.
Foreign workers:
There were 214 work permits (all types of work permits) issued in April 2023 or down from 295 in March. There were 35 foreign service companies registered to Directorate of Labour in April 2023. These foreign service companies employed 259 workers in April 2023.
There were 20 temporary-work agencies registered to Directorate of Labour in April 2023.
These temporary-work agencies hired out 592 workers in April 2023.
The unemployment forecast for May 2023:
It is expected that the unemployment in May 2023 will reduce and be between 2,9% and 3,1%.
