The unemployment rate for men in August was 2,9%, up from 2,7% in July. The unemployment rate for women was 3,0% in August, up from 2,9% in July.
Unemployment among young adults:
There were 525 young adults, aged 18-24 years unemployed in august 2023, down from 535 in July.
Long-term unemployment
There were 1.226 long-term unemployed (unemployed longer than 12 months) at the end of August 2023. In July there were 1.239 long-term unemployed.
Foreign workers:
There were 290 work permits issued in August 2023.
There were 53 foreign service companies registered at The Directorate of Labour in August 2023, posting 416 workers.
There were 22 temporary work agencies registered at The Directorate of Labour in August 2023, with
697 workers.
