December bonus to job seekers will be paid out on Friday, December 8th
The Directorate of Labour will pay the December supplement to job seekers on Friday, December 8th.
The undiminished December bonus is 99.389 kr. Those who confirm their job search between 20th of November and 3rd of December 2023, and have been fully insured within the unemployment insurance system for a total of ten months or more in 2023 are entitled to the full December bonus. The December bonus payment to those who do not have a full benefit entitlement within the unemployment insurance system is calculated in proportion to their right to unemployment benefits in the year 2023 and the number of months that they have received unemployment benefits. However, the bonus will never be less than 24.847 kr.
Job seekers with dependent children also receive a special December bonus for each child under 18 years of age. The bonus due to a child or children does not take any reductions, and in all cases amounts to six percent of the undiminished December bonus, or 5.963 kr. for each child.
