Summary

The unemployment rate in March was 3,8%, down from 3,9% in February.

Unemployment by gender:

The unemployment rate for men in March was 3,9%, same as in February. The unemployment rate for women was 3,7% in March, down from 3,8% in February.

 

Unemployment among young adults:

There were 838 young adults, aged 18-24 years unemployed in March 2024, down from 872 in February.

 

Long-term unemployment

There were 1.253 long-term unemployed (unemployed longer than 12 months) at the end of March 2024. In February there were 1.142 long-term unemployed.

 

Foreign workers:

There were 142 work permits issued in March 2024.

There were 49 foreign service companies registered at The Directorate of Labour in March 2024, posting 308 workers.

There were 19 temporary work agencies registered at The Directorate of Labour in March 2024, with

457 workers.

 

Forecast for April 2024:

It is expected that the unemployment rate will be between 3,5% and 3,7% in April.
