EURES is a cooperation network between the European Commission and the Public Employment Services of the EEA Member States (The 28 EU countries plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) and other partner organisations.
The purpose of EURES is to provide information, advice and recruitment/placement (job-matching) services for the benefit of workers and employers as well as any citizen in need of information and advice.
EURES has a human network of more than 850 EURES advisers that are in daily contact with jobseekers and employers across Europe.
The EURES job mobility portal www.eures.europa.eu is the main source of information about EURES. The portal is available in 26 languages. It provides information about available vacancies, advice for jobseekers and employers, living and working information about the EURES countries and information about different EURES events and newsletter. It is possible to search for active EURES advisers on the portal and contact them via email, telephone and in some cases through an online chat.
