Women’s entrepreneurship
Grants for women’s entrepreneurship have been awarded since 1991 to women who are working on a business idea or developing projects. At that time, the unemployment rate among women was relatively high, and the grants were intended to counterbalance and present opportunity for women in business by making capital more available to women. The Act on Equal Status and Equal Rights of Women and Men is also referred to where special measures on gender equality have been authorized.
