Currently, we are seeking skilled assistant driller to join our team for a long-term geothermal drilling projects.
Position Overview:
As a driller, you will be responsible for operating and supervising the drilling operations on the rig. You will ensure that all drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. Your expertise will be critical to maintaining the smooth operation of the drilling process and ensuring that all objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate drilling equipment and supervise the drilling crew to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of drilling equipment and tools.
Monitor drilling parameters and adjust operations to optimize drilling performance.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a focus on the well-being of the crew and compliance with industry standards.
Provide training, guidance, and leadership to junior crew members.
Communicate effectively with the Tool Pusher, engineers, and other staff to assess drilling progress and resolve any issues.
Maintain detailed records of drilling operations and report progress to management.
Manage equipment and materials to ensure smooth operations and prevent delays.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ drilling experience as a Driller in geothermal drilling.
Experience with Drillmec rigs and/or Bentec Euro Rig 350 is highly preferred.
Current IWCF Well Control Certificate Level 3 or higher is required.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
Forklift license for 10 tons +
Excellent organizational, planning, and leadership abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
Safety-conscious with a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Ability to work on a rotational schedule and travel.
Wages according to collective agreements with Framsýn workers union.
